In the traditional sense biographies have usually been written accounts of a person's lifestory. They can be written by the person themselves(in which case it would be an autobiography) or it can be written by someone else. Some biographies are authorized by the person who is the subject of the biography but others may not be. Audio books bring to biographies the old feel of the listening to someone telling you about someone interesting. My mother is full of interesting stories about our relatives and their adventures and misadventures.
